This garden gathering will celebrate and raise support for the work of Jesuit Volunteers in the Northwest. Purchase the plants you need for your garden and a portion of the proceeds will go to supporting the critical service that Jesuit Volunteers provide to communities in the Portland metro area and throughout the Northwest.
Your donation of $22 will honor the Jesuit Volunteers’ commitment to the agencies they serve and enter you for a chance to win a two-night stay at the Modern Hotel with dinner at the Tamarind in New Orleans. For more information please contact Elizabeth Skurdahl, Development Coordinator, at email@example.com or 503-335-8202.
About the Sunflower: The sunflower originated in the Americas and has been revered as a religious symbol and valuable food source for more than 3,500 years. It is a nurse companion plant, providing shelter to smaller plants, attracting beneficial insects, and providing essential nutrients to humans, livestock, and wildlife. Like our Jesuit Volunteers, the sunflower thrives in any soil or climate, is beautiful, yet hardy, and brings the cheerful warmth of the sun to all who chance upon it.
