Bryce Magorian, Development and Communications Coordinator
A lifelong Oregonian, Bryce first found his spirit of service doing stints of service work in Tuba City, AZ between 2005-08. There, working on projects among the Hopi and Navajo people in the high desert, he realized that he would have to find some way to hold onto this spirit as he went into the working world. After graduating from Pacific University in 2011 with a degree in Creative Writing, Bryce decided to put his communications skills to work in the nonprofit world. He volunteered, interned for, and worked at various nonprofits around the Portland area that dealt with issues of social justice, environmental responsibility, mental health, and K-12 education, before finding his place with JVC Northwest.
Finding the Portland area “amenable to his spirit”, Bryce decided to stay, despite the frequent deluges. In his off hours Bryce enjoys cycling, swing dancing, pondering history, and immersing himself in a quality board game with friends. He is excited to tell the stories of JVC Northwest as the Development and Communications Coordinator!
