Sarah Jones, Alumni Coordinator
Sarah, a fast-talking East Coaster, is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest to join Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest as the Alumni Coordinator. Born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, Sarah moved to Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia (the opposite of Will Smith’s journey) for her undergraduate and graduate work in Social Psychology. After her graduate studies, Sarah served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in Bethel, Alaska (’07-08) at Bethel Alternative Boarding School (BABS). After a year on the delta, Sarah traded salmon from the Kuskokwim River for cheesesteaks and returned to Philadelphia to work in Residence Life at her alma mater, SJU. Sarah jumped at the opportunity to join her other “alma mater” in the newly created role, Alumni Coordinator, that seeks to connect alumni across the country with all of the good work happening in their communities and in the Pacific Northwest. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, experimenting in the kitchen and curating the perfect mix CD for friends and family.
