Application ProcessStep 1: Create an Account
With our online application, you can create an account, save, and go back to complete different elements at any time.
Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis now until July or until all positions are filled.
Your JV application requires:
- Application form
- Transcripts (unofficial or official)
- Two short essays
- Reference forms from three people: Mission/Mentor, Employer, and Roommate/Peer
If you are offered an interview, we will contact you to schedule a phone interview. This is a chance to share your interests and hopes for a service year and a time of mutual discernment for both applicants and our staff. Applicants will be asked to share some of their top placement choices and more about preferences for work environments, supervision, etc.
Upon confirming your placement and completing your background checks, we’ll begin the onboarding process to prepare you for Orientation, a week-long introduction to JVC Northwest with your fellow 2019-2020 JVs beginning on August 5th, 2019.
After Orientation, JVs travel to their locale and begin service through June or July of the following year.
