Upcoming Virtual Info Sessions

Join us on Thursday afternoons for series of virtual recruitment sessions to learn more about JVC Northwest and how you can discern if a year of service is right for you.

Each week, our Recruitment Team will provide space to answer all your questions. We’ll also guide you through conversations with staff, current JVs, and former JVs about important topics like discernment, our four core values, the application and interview process, DEI initiatives, and what life in our JV communities is like.

Register for upcoming sessions below. All sessions run for one hour unless otherwise noted.

“Training, Resources, and Support”

Thursday, March 11 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT

What types of training and support do JV/AmeriCorps members receive during their year of service? What resources are available to prepare before and during service? Join us on March 11 as we walk you through the structures in place for you to make the most of your year.

“Centering Racial and Social Justice in Volunteer Service”

Thursday, March 18 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT

Living in community during a year of postgraduate service is more than just living with new roommates or immersing yourself in a new town. It is an act of radical community: people coming together to grow in similar shared values. Yet in an unjust world, communities are not often equitable or inclusive enough of marginalized people.

Join us in conversation on March 18 about what diversity, equity, and inclusion looks like in intentional community at JVC Northwest and how we as people discerning to do postgraduate service can radically reimagine our communities to center justice at home.

Note: All sessions will be held through Zoom. Please email Chris Suriano, Recruitment Coordinator, at csuriano@jvcnorthwest.org with any questions.
