Join us this fall for a series of virtual recruitment sessions to learn more about JVC Northwest and how you can discern if a year of service is right for you.
Each Thursday, our Recruitment Team will provide space to answer all your questions. We’ll also guide you through conversations with staff, current JVs, and former JVs about important topics like discernment, our four core values, the application and interview process, DEI initiatives, and what life in our JV communities is like.
Register for upcoming sessions below.
“What is JVC Northwest?”
Thursday, September 24 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT
Learn how you can step into a year of meaningful service and community in the Pacific Northwest. Our Recruitment Team will walk you through the basics of the program, share their Jesuit Volunteer experiences, and answer your questions!
“The JV Experience”
Thursday, October 1 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT
Our Recruiter and former JV, Zayna Abusada, will be joined by her fellow volunteers to share their unique service experiences, provide their behind-the-scenes perspectives, and answer any questions you have about what life in JVC Northwest is really like.
“Ask Us Anything”
Thursday, October 8 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT
This informal Q+A session is your chance to ask our Recruitment Team anything and everything you can think of related to post-grad service and JVC Northwest.
How is JVC Northwest similar and different than other post-grad service years? What’s it like to live in community with other JVs? How can I make my application stand out? Can I bring my car? Does it really rain as much as they say it does in the Pacific Northwest?
“Discerning Post-Grad Service Roundtable”
Thursday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT
Led by Greg Carpinello, Executive Director of JVC Northwest, this session is a chance to talk about discerning if a service-year program is right for you.
Prior to joining JVC Northwest in 2019, Greg worked at both Xavier University and Boston College where he helped accompany students through post-grad discernment processes.
Note: All sessions will be held through Zoom. Please email Chris Suriano, Recruitment Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
