Celebrating 70 Years of Service
We are so grateful to all those who showed up to sustain our movement in 2026. We surpassed our goal of raising $200,000 through our Annual Benefit Dinner. You can still show up to support our volunteers by making a gift.
In 2026, we honored…
Fr. Jack Morris Legacy Award: Dan Misleh
Dan Misleh (Fairbanks, AK ’82-83) has been deeply invested in justice work since his JV year. He’s been on staff with JVC, the Franciscans, Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. He’s currently the executive director of Catholic Climate Covenant, a non-profit he founded in 2006 to organize the Church around creation care action as a preferential option for the poor. Dan holds degrees from Xavier University and Franciscan School of Theology. He and his wife Susie, an FJV, have three children and one grandchild. They live in Cheverly, Maryland.
Magis Award: Liz Purdy
Liz Purdy (Sitka, AK ’10–11, JVC Northwest Staff ’11–13) seeks community wherever she goes, letting curiosity about people and place drive her genuine connections. After graduating from Gonzaga, she served with Sitkans Against Family Violence, and earned a Master’s in Sustainable Development. Liz now lives in Bellingham, WA and works as the Manager of Community Affairs for Puget Sound Energy. Liz always holds this question in mind: how can we best serve one another through our daily lives? She loves to be outside, with family and friends, eating a great meal, and relishing the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Our annual Benefit Dinner is a space to celebrate previous and future chapters of the JVC Northwest community: volunteers, partner agencies, family and friends. This year we have the honor of celebrating 70 years of service! Together, we will raise critical funds that support our movement and mission—funds that will strengthen our partnerships and empower volunteers as they serve local communities.
The Benefit Dinner will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Seattle University. An optional mass will be held at 4:00 PM in the Campion Ecumenical Chapel. The social hour begins at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:00 PM, with the program to follow in the Campion Ballroom.
The Standard ticket price for our event is $95, and a full Standard Table is $760. The Corps Supporter ticket price is $125, and a full Corps Supporter Table is $1,000.
Register here. Registration closes March 1.
Yes! All ages are welcome! We will have coloring pages and plushies available for use throughout the night.
For some iPhone users, the registration form may only be compatible on the Google Chrome browser. If you receive an error message when registering, please try accessing the form on another internet browser or another device.
Reach out to Chris Suriano (csuriano@jvcnorthwest.org or 971-353-6808) if you continue experiencing technical issues while registering.
The dress code is Pacific Northwest business casual—this is not a formal gala. We encourage close-toed shoes, and while sequins might be a bit much, feel free to express yourself in a way that embraces you! Check out the photos below to see the variety from last year.
For those driving, Seattle University offers convenient paid parking which JVC Northwest will be covering this year! Please park at the Murphy Parking Garage at 1001 11th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122 – it’s just a short walk to the event! Street parking will also be available around the campus. Prefer public transportation? The bus stops near the campus. Keep your eyes peeled on your inbox for details to come!
Our program will wrap up no later than 8:30pm, but the fun doesn’t have to stop here—feel free to take the party elsewhere and keep the good vibes going!
We’ve got something delicious for everyone! We will offer a variety of meal options including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals. Guests are invited to specify dietary requirements upon registration.
Simply put, our decision to host a cashless event means we will not accept cash or physical checks during the evening. We hope that this will enable you to be fully present and streamline the giving process for your convenience. You will have the chance to register your credit card upon arrival and be invited to make a gift in that way.
Creating an accessible space is part of a community effort where everyone contributes. We are blessed with a diverse and compassionate community. Inspired by the Nonprofit Technology Conference, here are some ways we can make this event inclusive:
Creating inclusivity starts before the beginning of the event. Some people may be sensitive to smells, sounds, and lights. Be mindful of pronouns when addressing people.
- It will be an exuberant evening with our wonderful JVC Northwest community. Respect each other’s space, comfort levels and boundaries especially during greeting. We all have varying degrees of contact.
- JVC Northwest is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require an accommodation or service to fully participate, please contact Kelly Hickman at khickman@jvcnorthwest.org or (971) 353-6786 at least 10 days prior to the event, by March 19.
No worries, you can still make a difference! Even if you are unable to join us in person, you can still give a gift at the link here.
