Kelly Hickman, Director of Development (she/her)
I am passionate about advancing justice and undoing institutionalized racism and deeply believe in JVC Northwest’s core values of community, simple living, social and ecological justice, and spirituality. These values align perfectly with my personal and professional ideals (picture a Venn diagram so perfectly overlapping that it is just one circle), which is why I am beyond delighted to serve as the Director of Development for JVC Northwest.
I studied theology at Boston College and then at Seattle University’s School of Theology & Ministry. I am a board member of the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) Puget Sound and a Trustee of Seattle Preparatory High School. I have been working with Catholic nonprofits professionally since 2011.
When I’m not sharing the inspiring work of JVC Northwest, I can be found spending lots of time with my family as a devoted aunt to Oscar and Francis, singing karaoke at a local dive, snuggling my cat Leeloo, and practicing the radical act of resting.
