Mollie Tirpak, Recruiter (she/her)
Hello! My name is Mollie (she/her) and I’m excited to share a bit about myself! I grew up on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by my large extended family, who helped instill values of service, humility, and compassion. During high school, at St. Joseph Academy, I first learned about social justice, which continued to fuel my passion going into college. I graduated from John Carroll University in 2023 after studying Psychology, Public Health, Biology, and Gender Studies. During my undergraduate experience, I stayed busy as a campus Tour Guide, leading Immersions with Campus Ministry, volunteering with the Labre Project, and my sorority Chi Omega.
These roles deepened my commitment to creating a sense of belonging and working towards a more equitable world. As a rising senior, I knew that pursuing a post-graduate year of service would help me do exactly that! I served as a Jesuit Volunteer ‘23-24 in New Orleans, Louisiana at a small housing nonprofit called Depaul USA New Orleans. I assisted in moving people into their permanent homes, connected individuals to key resources, and built relationships rooted in trust through our bi-weekly wellness programming. My time as a JV was truly transformative, and I’m excited to see how it continues to shape my decisions moving forward.
In my free time, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors, crafting, and dancing to live music (I once drove halfway across the country to see my favorite band live!) I’m now excited to serve as the Mid-Atlantic Recruiter with the JVC Northwest & JVC, where I look forward to inviting people into this community of advocates, educators, and life-long learners.
