JVC Northwest would like to invite everyone to our Fifth Annual Benefit Dinner: Welcome Home in Seattle, WA on Friday, May 14th.  The Jesuit Volunteers in Mercy House and Cherry Abbey are welcoming everyone into their ‘living room’ for an evening.  Throw on your favorite pair of blue jeans and get ready to take part in many fun activities as we listen to live music while celebrating and raising funds for all that JVC Northwest does in our local communities.  It should be a great night!  Please visit events for more information on tickets, times, location, and sponsorships.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.  Hope to see you in Seattle on May 14th!

Zayna Abusada (Ashland, MT ’17-18, Anchorage, AK ’18-19) was most recently a JV in south-central Alaska serving with immigrant and refugee English-Language learners as the Academy for Citizenship and Civics Support Specialist with the Alaska Literacy Program (ALP) in Anchorage. Zayna first served with Indigenous students on the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Reservations. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Zayna went on to earn her undergraduate degree in History and Theological Studies with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies at Saint Louis University.
