September 21, 2013, marked the 20th anniversary of the signing of the bill that established the Corporation for National and Community Service. Since then, over 820, 000 members have served through AmeriCorps. To celebrate this special milestone, JVC Northwest will highlight great stories from our current and former AmeriCorps members. Each month, blog posts will feature how our members are making an impact in their communities through areas such as education, environmental stewardship, and healthy futures.
