The JVC Northwest community is celebrating 40 years of Jesuit Volunteer service in Yakima this summer.
If you served in Yakima, live near Yakima, or simply want to celebrate and support the JVC Northwest community in “the Palm Springs of Washington,” then we invite you to join us from June 21st-23rd, 2024 for a weekend reunion. We are now taking RSVPs! Hotel information, notes, and planning team information is below.
Weekend itinerary:
- Thursday evening: Micah Potluck
- Friday evening: Drinks at a local brewery
- Saturday afternoon: Community Softball game
- Saturday evening: Reflection Service and program at Holy Family Church
- Sunday: Options for various activities (hiking, wine tasting, etc.)
A few notes…

- Lodging will graciously be provided by members of the Yakima FJV community to those who need it. You may indicate lodging needs in your RSVP.
- Faith Payson (Yakima ’22-23) is looking for a few folks to join her in planning Saturday evening’s prayer service. Indicate your interest on the RSVP form if you have interest in joining this subcommittee.
- We’re collecting photos for a big slideshow! If you have photos of your time in Yakima you’d like to share, please email them to us.
- Spread the word! Forward this information to your FJVs who served in Yakima. You never know who knows what… and we don’t want anyone to miss out!
