What Information Do We Collect and How Do We Use It?

When you place an order, a secure transmission method is used to send us your primary personal data. We ask you to provide information to complete your donation by filling out and submitting an online form (https). This information includes your name, telephone numbers, billing address, email address, and payment/credit card information. You may also submit information about other people (i.e., In Memory/In Honor Of). We use the information you provide only to process the order and send confirmation emails.

All information regarding our donors is processed and stored on a highly secured server. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. We have implemented security policies, rules, and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control. Everyone at JVC Northwest who has access to and is associated with the processing of personal data is obliged to respect the confidentiality of our donors’ personal data.

We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to anyone unless required by law or other regulation.

We may track the way visitors use our site; however, this information is analyzed only in the aggregate and not at the individual level.

Email Addresses are securely stored in our database and are used only to assist you in accessing your donation information and communication purposes. These are stored only when a donor voluntarily provides this information. No information is released outside of our secure system.

The security of your personal information is very important to us. We follow accepted industry standards to protect all personal information provided to us before, during, and after transmission of personal data.

Zayna Abusada (Ashland, MT ’17-18, Anchorage, AK ’18-19) was most recently a JV in south-central Alaska serving with immigrant and refugee English-Language learners as the Academy for Citizenship and Civics Support Specialist with the Alaska Literacy Program (ALP) in Anchorage. Zayna first served with Indigenous students on the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Reservations. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Zayna went on to earn her undergraduate degree in History and Theological Studies with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies at Saint Louis University.
